How does laser therapy work?

A light is aimed at a treatment area on your pet's body. The light waves can be of different wavelengths based on how deep they need to penetrate. The light will stimulate cells and activate electrons which help with pain relief and inflammation. The waves of light will increase blood and oxygen flow to speed up recovery. Relaxation and a calmer demeanour are some immediate effects.

The veterinarian may recommend approximately 3 to 8 treatments for your pet to truly benefit from the treatment.

Is laser therapy always recommended post-op?

No, laser therapy is not always recommended for post-surgery recovery. It is one of the options available that can improve pain management and lessen recovery time. Recommendations vary according to your pet's condition and treatment.
